See How Easy it is to get Free Samples

Brought to you by: The Frugal Buzz On September 20, 2010 7 Comments

If you are a regular reader at The Frugal Buzz you know we love Freebies.  No worries if you are new – we have you covered.  Our goal today is to get everyone psyched up to start or renew their quest for Freebies.

Many companies offer free samples in an attempt to attract customers. These companies are sure that once you try their product, you will be tempted to buy the full-sized product and continue to purchase in the future. There are many places to get free samples, both online and off, if you know where to look.

Companies are forever developing new products. However, they cannot attract customers to buy these new products without some kind of incentive. Incentives can exist in the form of discount coupons or in most cases, free samples. To find these free samples and sign up for them, visit the website of the manufacturer. You may have to fill out a survey as to your daily needs and the types of items you are interested in. Take the time to do this so you are not sent samples of items you will not use.

Most free products come in sample sizes, meaning they will not sustain you for long. However, it is a good way to try the product and see if it meets your needs in your household. If not, there is nothing lost, certainly not the amount of the full-sized purchase.

A website that is constantly updated with either “buy one get one free” coupons or free samples of products is www.freemania.net. This website will list all of the offers on the front page and then direct you to the surveys to fill out requests for free products. The products are tailored to your possible use and the website does not list any maximum of free products that you may receive.

Www.thunderfap.com is another free website that mainly lists 100% free offers. You are not required to give a credit card, nor should you ever be with any free product offer. The site does list some offers that cost a few dollars, but they are verified as legit deals, not designed to scam the user.

You Will Love This!

Brought to you by: The Frugal Buzz On July 6, 2010 1 Comment

I’m excited to tell you about a site I know you will love as much as I do.  If you shop online at all, if you are looking for a site that rewards you for reading your email or completing short surveys, MyPoints gets my highest recommendation.  If you have had some bad experiences with survey or opening email sites, let me assure you, MyPoints will not disappoint.  In a little over three months of using MyPoints, I accumulated enough points to redeem for two $25 gift cards!  It is the easiest way to earn points and get rewards I have ever used.  I log in every day (to spin for a million points) and spend about 5 minutes max on the site – if you have 5 minutes to spare a day, if you ever shop online, and /or if you like rewards, keep reading!

Here’s how it works:

MyPoints is site that rewards its members points for things like reading e-mails, taking surveys, and/or making purchases from different online merchants.   Some of the offers are direct marketing of products, like books, clothing, electronics, etc. Other offers are for services, like auto insurance, financial services, travel, dating services, etc.   Each offer has an attached point value; for example if all you want to do is clink the identified link on the e-mail and read the message, you earn five points. If you do purchase a product you earn much more (sometimes up to 1,000 points).

While the highest points come from making a purchase, I have accumulated all of my points to date (and claimed two $25 gift cards) without making a single purchase! MyPoints is the easiest and fastest way to accumulate points and earn rewards.

Redeeming Points:

In addition to all the great deals and ease of use, the best thing about MyPoints is redeeming your points.  You can spend your points on a wide range of products and services in categories ranging from home & garden, sports, music and entertainment, health and fitness, electronics, books and magazines, toys and games, and much more.   MyPoints redeems your points and sends you a gift card in exchange.  You select the merchant and each merchant offers several choices of point levels and gift card values.   For example:  1500 points gets you a $10 gift card to Target , K-Mart gives four choices:  (800 points for a $5 card, 1,500 points for a $10 card, 3,500 points for a $25 card, and 6,500 points for a $50 card), Starbucks offers gift cards for 800 points ($5) and 1350 points gets you a $10 gift card.  Offers are seemingly endless and include Marriott, Burger King, Restaurants.com, Bloomingdales, LLBean, Footlocker, Kohls, etc. etc.!

  • You’ll typically receive a few offer emails a week.  Click through to read the email message and collect five points. If you want to purchase the product or service, your account is credited in a few days.
  • If you have something specific you want to buy – say office supplies, magazines, music, clothing, beauty supplies, don’t wait for an e-mail offer. Just log on to MyPoints to see if the item you want is offered, click on the link to make your purchase and reap the reward!
  • Refer friends and earn 100 points (after they sign up and accumulate 60 points).
  • Be sure to download the Point Finder Toolbar.o earn 100 points and regular searching earns you more. If you like to use reward sites but tend to forget about them when the time comes to make a purchase, the toolbar allows a pop up to remind you when/if you log on to a web site that is affiliated with MyPoints.

Even Better:

Signing up is easy and gets you 50points. Just enter your name, e-mail address, gender, zip code, country, and birth date.; create a password and check the areas you are most interested in.   Tip: Check ALL the boxes to receive the maximum number of offers which will result in the greatest number of points possible.

Is MyPoints for You?

You will gain many more points if you purchase something so if you ever buy anything online, you can do well starting at MyPoints to see if there is a reward associated with what you want to buy.  But, you can also accumulate points without spending any money – just not as much and not as fast.

You won’t get inundated with email offers or spam, but you can’t just sign up and expect points to magically appear in your account.  MyPoints work best for those of us who occasionally buy online and don’t mind clicking on an few emails during the week.  At the bottom of each email is a link to your account which I click on every day to spin for a chance to win a million points in MyPoints monthly drawing.  That takes literally one minute of my time and is well worth it – Oh what I could buy with a million points……

See for yourself why I so strongly recommend MyPoints.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Clicking for Savings

Brought to you by: The Frugal Buzz On June 6, 2010 No Comments

Being frugal does not mean deprivation.  It means saving for what you want most and/or finding what you want for less.  Knowing where to find good deals and offers makes it easy to shop smart and save money.  Here are a few of my favorite offer sites:

GoGabble started offline in 1984 promoting offers from businesses through traditional sales calls (and we all know how much we hate those calls).  The Internet has propelled GoGabble to cut out the sales calls and bring exciting offers of incredible value to their members.  Businesses love offering discounts to introduce their products or services to you. In this case, they are investing in themselves by way of offering incredible discounts to get you in their door. You are dealing with businesses that have a lot of confidence in themselves, coupled with their products and services. Of course, they are hoping you become a regular customer after having a positive experience with them. If you like their service and products go back to them. If you do not, don’t be afraid to let GoGabble know, and especially the business, know.   GoGabble is free to join for everyone. All we need is an email address. You will receive an offer every morning in your inbox. Delete it or read it. Your choice. You can also refer a friend and they will reward you with $5.00 in GABBLE BUCKS ™ every time one of your friends signs up and buys from them.  Register with GoGabble.com to find Incredible Daily Deals!

http://www.valpak.comValpak, the company consumers have depended on for envelopes packed with great values and exciting offers for more than 40 years, is now online.  You can now get great values and exciting offers from national and regional advertisers, as well as businesses right in your neighborhood from fast food to financial planning, supermarkets to superstores, entertainment to auto services, with a click of your mouse.  Valpak.com, the familiar blue envelope’s Web site, gives you MORE of those great Valpak offers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The offers are available to quickly print out from virtually any home or office computer connected to the Internet.  You can redeem Valpak.com offers just like the ones you get in the blue Valpak envelope. Even though online offers look different from the ones found in their envelope, they’re accepted at the participating merchant just like a regular offer. They look different because they want them to print quickly, using as little ink as possible. You can even print them in black and white.  Here’s why I love Valpak.com:
